Diya Siddique, an eighth-grade student in Nilphamari, tried her luck in a BKSP trial after picking up bow and arrows for the first time in 2017 and hasn't looked back since. Fast forward to 2021 in Tokyo, when she becomes an Olympian, and she also won silver in the Archery World Cup this year, making history for Bangladesh. Diya Siddique believes that the way the caliber of Bangladesh women's sports has progressively improved thus far is a very promising indication for us, given that women in this country often trail much behind males in terms of sports. She has seen individuals on social media urging the lads to learn a thing or two from the girls (smiles). In fact, these young women have gone through so much in their lives that they are hell-bent on proving their skeptics wrong.
