According to CNN, an extraordinary fossil of a newborn dinosaur coiled up neatly inside its egg sheds further information on the connections between dinosaurs and birds. The fossil was unearthed in Ganzhou, China, and scientists believe it is at least 66 million years old. The fossil preserves the embryonic skeleton of an oviraptorid dinosaur, which has been dubbed "Baby Yingliang" after the Chinese museum where it is housed. Baby dinosaur bones are tiny and brittle, and they are only infrequently preserved as fossils, so this is an extremely fortunate find.
