According to International Energy Agency, the new Coronavirus variant Omicron is going to have an effect over the oil demand albeit a slow one. The IEA is expecting oil demand to be more comfortable in 2022. After the new wave of covid-19, oil demand took a sharp turn by the end of November but the demand was stabilized in short time due to worldwide vaccination campaigns.
