The Third Eye created by Masrur Ishraq in 2019 to assist visually challenged and blind students at the University of Chittagong. After witnessing a fellow student seek for stenographers blindly before an exam, he was inspired to start this group. His organization has provided audiobooks, lecture recordings, and stenography during exams to over 400 visually impaired students. When he approached the student after the exam, he was surprised to learn that visually challenged pupils were responsible for finding their own assistants and stenographers. Following this experience, he founded Third Eye to provide audiobooks and stenographers to visually challenged students. To construct the organization, he employed internet resources such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Many individuals responded to his messages at initially, but only six people showed up for the first meeting. However, the group grew over time, and it now has 550 active members and is dispersed throughout five districts. Masrur Ishraq was awarded the Joy Bangla Youth Award for Social Inclusion in 2021 for his efforts. For the visually handicapped, Third Eye currently offers debate, computer, and pronunciation training, as well as various vocational and personal skill development projects.
