ROBIN AHAMED

The headline caught my attention at a glance. The "Guide for the Visually Impaired" was intriguing to me and wondered what kind of guides there are to help the visually impaired! The creator of Third I, Masrur Ishraq, did a great job of helping the visually impaired. Many in college may have seen peers with visual impairments, but no one, including faculty, has thought about their difficulties. Visually impaired students had to find their shorthand for the exam and it was very difficult to continue. While everyone else was writing and concentrating on their exams, visually impaired students had to rely on shorthand writers who had to find out for themselves. The Third Eye has grown beyond Chattagram University`s campus and now has over 550 active volunteers in Chattagram, Dhaka, Jessore, Feni, and Rajshahi. The executive committee is made up of 31 people. To administer this organization, they have established necessary rules and regulations. Mr. Mashrur Ishraq received competency-based training and assessment from the Bangladesh Technical Education Board and is now a trainer. Masrur dreams of a day when no one who is blind or visually handicapped feels like an outsider in society.
