In 2019 an organization called Third Eye was created by Masrur Ishraq to help blind and visually impaired students at the University of Chittagong. He was inspired to create this organization after he saw a fellow student who was blind searching for stenographers during an exam. So far, his organization has helped over 400 visually students with audiobooks, lecture recordings, and stenography during exams. After the exam, when he approached the student, he was shocked to know that visually impaired students had to find their own helpers and stenographers. After this event, he decided to create the organization called Third Eye to help visually impaired students with audiobooks and stenographers. He used online tools like Facebook, WhatsApp, and messenger to create the organization. At first, a lot of people responded to his messages, but at the first meeting, only six people showed up. However, over time the organization grew, and today the organization has spread to over five districts and has 550 active members. For his work, Masrur Ishraq has won Joy Bangla Youth Award for social inclusion in 2021. Currently, Third Eye offers debate, computer and pronunciation training for the visually impaired, alongside other vocational and personal skill development projects.
