Masrur Ishraq the founder of Third Eye won the Joy Bangla Youth Award for social inclusion in 2021 for fis effort o help the visually impaired students at University of Chittagong (CU). From 2019 his organization helped over 400 visually impaired students with audiobooks, lecture recordings, and stenography during exams. After witnessing a student seeking for stenographer before a test, he was inspired to start Third Eye. Today, the platform has spread beyond CU's campus, reaching five other districts across the country and have 550 active volunteers in Chattogram, Dhaka, Jashore, Feni, and Rajshahi. For the visually handicapped, Third Eye currently offers debate, computer, and pronunciation training, as well as various vocational and personal skill development projects. The platform used online content, workshops, and YouTube videos to increase awareness during the 2020 lockdowns.
