To assist blind and visually impaired students at the University of Chittagong, Masrur Ishraq founded the Third Eye . So far, his group has provided audiobooks, lecture recordings, and stenography during exams to over 400 visually impaired students. After witnessing a fellow student blindly seeking for stenographers before a test, he was inspired to start this. When he approached the student after the exam, he was surprised to learn that visually impaired pupils had to find their own assistants and stenographers. Following this experience, he decided to found Third Eye, an organization that provides audiobooks and stenographers to visually impaired pupils. He used online tools like Facebook, WhatsApp, and messenger to create the organization. Many individuals responded to his messages at initially, but only six people showed up for the first meeting. However, the group grew over time, and it now has 550 active members and dispersed throughout five districts. Masrur Ishraq was awarded the Joy Bangla Youth Award for Social Inclusion in 2021 for his efforts.
