On the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh-UK diplomatic relations, UK high commissioner Robert Chatterton Dickson complimented Bangladesh as a self-sufficient and spectacular country. He also remembered Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's remarkable visit to the United States in January 1972. The path of friendship between the two countries has elevated Bangladesh, and the two countries have aided each other in various fields and in various ways.
