Bangladesh is continuing to overcome multiple challenges after its independence in 1971 and has been successful in many of these. Subsequently, it's a pride matter for UK, being one of the closest diplomatic friends of Bangladesh, according to UK high commissioner, marking 50th anniversary of Bangladesh-UK relations. With only humanitarian supports, Bangladesh has progressed a lot in many fields and turned into a role model for the rest of the world, also noted by the high commissioner. Besides, as a long diplomatic partner, UK is also supporting Bangladesh in strengthening its military staff and other law enforcement agencies. The high commissioner also remarked our father of nation's visit to UK in 1972 as an acceleration to the recognition of independent Bangladesh.
