The largest peanut market in Rangpur is almost never seen in the same place two years in a row due to the changing waters of the Brahmaputra river in Kurigram's Chilmari upazila. The market is always set up next to a boat base, which changes location each year based on the height of the river this year, due to low water levels, both were set up in Faluar Char. People who come to acquire a large quantity of peanuts can send the crop to their selected locations. The market season began in the first week of January and will end in the first week of March. Farmers sow maize, black cumin, chia seeds, and other crops after harvesting the peanuts.
