Two novel Covid-19 medicines have been approved by the World Health Organization to prevent serious sickness and death caused by the virus. The news comes as Omicron cases fill hospitals around the wolrd with the WHO predicting half of Europe will be infected by March.Only three other treatmenrs for Covid-19 have received WHO approval.According to British experts, small children and babies are proportionally more likely to be hospitalized with Omicron than older children, but the instances are still mild.
