After picking up bow and arrows for the first time in 2017, Diya Siddique, an eighth-grade student from Nilphamari, entered a BKSP trial and hasn't looked back since. Fast forward to Tokyo in 2021, where she will be an Olympian, and she will also have won silver in the Archery World Cup this year, making history for Bangladesh. Given that women in Bangladesh generally trail far behind males in terms of sports, Diya Siddique believes that the way the quality of Bangladesh women's sports has continuously improved thus far is a very optimistic indication for us. On social media, she's seen people imploring the guys to learn a thing or two from the ladies. Indeed, these young women have been through so much in their lives that they are determined to prove their doubters.
